Mrs. C.M. Allen died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. Gilbert in the Brazos Community on Sunday. Mrs. Allen moved to the Brazos Community in 1877. After the death of her husband, Mrs. Allen continued to live on their original home place through the years, where she raised her family of nine children. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Dobbs Valley. Services were held at the Dobbs Valley Church officiated by Rev. W.A. Chisholm. Burial was in the Dobbs Valley Cemetery. Survived by her children. Grandson were pallbearers.
