Born to Samuel and Winifred Hill, in Iowa. Married Joshus Ames Wray (1851-1893)on 20 Sept 1881 in Goshen, Iowa. She lived in El Reno, Oklahoma. When her daughter Minnie passed away from pneumonia in 1922 she went to Callao to live with her son-law, Forest Warren to help raise her three Grandson's. Wayne Harold, Cecil Wray and Warren John Lingg. She was a wonderful lady watching after the boys in her old fashioned ways and teaching them the straight and narrow. She always kept busy. In the evenings after the house work was done, she spent long hours knitting and fashioning sweaters for the three of them. They were fine sweaters too, the envy of many kids. One time they brought home a "possum which they had killed and asked her to cook it for them. She was a pioneer and knew how to cook 'possum with sweet potatoes and it was really good. All of the boys loved her. She had one set rule that they soon learned to obey. If anyone got in late for suppoer, they had to wash the dishes. You bet your life they got in on time. according to Iowa's 1890 census she was the sister to: William H (DOB around 1856-Iowa), Elizabeth (DOB around 1860-Iowa), Samuel L (DOB around 1864-Iowa), Clinton B (DOB around 1867-Iowa), Carrie H.
