She was the daughter of William Evan and Ella Belle Julian Minter. She was the wife of John Henry Watts.

DAYTON – Mrs. JoAnn Bailey, 47, of Houston died Monday, Jan. 21, 1991 at her home in Houston.

She was born in Livingston and had been a lifelong resident of Houston.

Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 25, from Sterling Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Jimmy Charles officiating.

Graveside services followed from Bold Springs Cemetery in Bold Springs.

Survivors include her husband, John Henry Watts of Houston; two sons, Kirk Edward Bailey of Houston and Joe Dan Bailey of Charlotte, N. C.; three daughters, Sheila Lynn Mitchell of Houston, Dianna Lynn Kirby of Brownsboro and Mary Lynn Rodriguez of Cut ‘N’ Shoot; two brothers, C. E. Minter of Willis and W. E. Minter of Jewett; sister, Opal Peek of Crosby; and six grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Glen Peek, Jesse Rodriguez, Mikel Kirby, Jimmy Peek, Joe Mitchell and Michael Minter.
