BURKETT, VERNON THOMPSON, 90, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on Saturday November 7, 2009 at The Masonic Home of Florida. He was born in Dewitt, New York and moved here in 1956 from Manlius, New York. Vernon was Labortory Manager for General Electric Corporation for 45 Years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Survivors include a Son Frank E. Burkett, M.D. of Wisconsin, Daughters Barbara Ann Burkett and Judith A. Burkett both of Tarpon Springs, Florida and 5 Grandchildren.
