Nelda was born April 4, 1935 in Annona, Texas to Johnnie and Thelma Parker Lane. She was a seamstress for Red Kap for 27 years and loved to work on the farm. Nelda was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law; Charlotte and Roger Mitchell of De Kalb, Texas and Cynthia Tanner of Texarkana, Arkansas; a sister, Ruby Jacquot of Ft. Worth, Texas; six grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dean Barker in 2006; a son, Danny Barker in 2004 and an infant brother.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, October 22, 2009 at Spring Hill Cemetery with Bro. Larry Linam officiating
