Our loving husband, father, grandpa, brother and son, Kim R. Arnold, age 49, passed away suddenly of an apparent heart attack on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, in Heber City. Kim was born March 3, 1955, in Salt Lake City, the son of Lester Jay and Annie Kathryn Turpin Arnold. He married Elaine Soderborg Jan. 13, 1977, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Kim was an active member of the LDS Church, serving a mission in New Zealand from 1974 to 1976. He also served in many callings throughout his life, most recently as Bishop of the Charleston Ward from 2000 to 2004.

Kim was also active in his community. He was a member of the Wasatch County Search and Rescue; the Charleston Town Board for four years; and he owned and operated 'Kim Arnold Plumbing' for 20 years. He truly enjoyed being outdoors, especially fly-fishing. But more than anything, he loved being with his family.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Elaine; six children: Angela (Matt) Fillmore, Bryan (Laura) Arnold, Danielle (Doug) Farley, Kathleen, Spencer and Levi Arnold; mother, Kathryn Cole; mother-in-law, Norma Soderborg-Harris; three brothers: Randy (Vickie), Mike (Sherilyn), Dale (Anna); and eight grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father, Lester Jay, and father-in-law, Don L. Soderborg.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, 11 a.m. in the Charleston LDS Church, 3423 South 3500 West. Friends may call on Sunday from 68 p.m. at the LDS Church and on Monday from 9:4510:45 a.m. prior to the services, also at the LDS Church. Interment will be in the Charleston City Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be sent to the family at [email protected].
