Ann Louise Ririe Winterton, 91, Provo, died Thursday in Ephrata, Wash., of natural causes.
She was born in West Weber on Nov. 22, 1881 to James Boyack and Ann Morgan Ririe. She married Ralph S. Winterton on June 2, 1909 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1959.
Her family was among the early pioneers in southern Alberta, Canada. After her marriage she and her husband lived in Magrath, Alberta, Provo and Salt Lake City. She was active in the LDS Church, having served as a teacher in Sunday School and Relief Society, as well as an office in other organizations.
She is survived by two sons and three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Zelma) Colton, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Philip (Olive) Hart, Pala Alto, Calif.; Mrs. Eugene (LaPreal) Larsen, Ephrata, Wash; Ralph W. Ririe, Vashon, Wash., and James R. Ririe, Provo; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three brothers and six sisters, James Alfred Ririe, Horace Ririe, Olive Bradshaw, Hazel Spencer, Margaret Hindley, and Julia Dean Bondy, all of Magrath, Alberta; Prudence Poulson, Lethbridge, Alberta, and Lloyd Ririe and Velma Godfrey, both of Provo.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel. Friends may call at the mortuary tonight from 6-8 p.m. and Monday an hour prior to services. Burial will be in Charleston Cemetery.
