Mrs. Addie Mae Barnes was born in Johnson County, Texas to Mr. Reynolds and Josie Taylor on Jan 28, 1886. She married John Henry Barnes and had 10 children. She died Aug 26, 1974 in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Barnes in 1967, son, George Melvin in 1970, son John Adam Barnes in 1973 and son, Claude C. Barnes in 1967.
She was survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Maudie Finley of Tulsa, Mrs. Lou Bailey of Lake Worth, Mrs. Mary Linker of Newark, and Aggie Lee Farquhar of Lake Worth.3 sons, Bill Barnes of Lake Worth, Burl Barnes of Lake Worth and Floyd Barnes of Fort Worth. 26 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held in the Springtown, First Baptist Church on Wednesday, Aug 28, 1974 with Rev. Roland Earl officiating.
