Vesta Lorene Dreyer, 92, St. Joseph, Mo., passed away Wednesday, March 24. 2004, at the local hospital.
Vesta was born in Easton, Mo., on March 14, 1912, to Carroll A. and Laura Belle (DeVore) Barton.
She married J. D. Dreyer on Aug. 17, 1932, whom she was married to for 67 years. She worked as a farm wife and a homemaker in Easton for most of her life. She and her husband moved to St. Joseph in 1994. J. D. passed away on March 9, 2001.
She was a member of the North Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in St. Joseph.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Delbert E. Barton.
She is survived by one brother, Sterling Barton, and his wife, Louise of St. Joseph; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Service: 1 p.m. Saturday, at Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, with Robert Boyer officiating. Interment: Blakely Cemetery, Easton. Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. Friday at the Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel, where the family will receive friends 6 to 8:30 p.m. Friday.
