Ella Mae attended Old Kennedy school and Lane Public schools.
She later married Thomas Lee Bell and they shared many years together until passing in 1973.
She had been a Bristow area resident since 1983. She attended the Bristow First Free Will Baptist Church faithfully. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, quilting, and especially reading her Bible every day.
She is survived by seven children: Thomas Allen & wife Eureka of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Joan Reed & husband Kenneth of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Billy Bell & wife Geral of Clayton, Oklahoma. Shirley Sutterfield & husband Bill of Bristow, Oklahoma. George Bell & wife Phyllis of McAlester, Oklahoma. Lodena Morton and husband Dale of Bristow, Oklahoma, Mary Bell of San Antonio, Texas, and Son-in-law Roy Gower husband of the late Evelyn Gower and their three children all of the Bristow area. Twenty Grandchildren, forty three Great Grandchildren, & nine Great Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 1 daughter, and 1 granddaughter.
Services were 10:00 AM Monday, September 28 at the Bristow First Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Gene Jackson officiating. The committal was held at Old Town Cemetery in Clayton, Oklahoma around 3:30PM.
