Mr. Orville Meals, 54, died yesterday afternoon at 1:15 o'clock at her residence, five miles east of Moberly. She had been in failing health for two years, and seriously ill for one year.
In addition to her husband, Orville, Mrs. Meals is survived by one son, (Thomas) Chester Meals, east of Moberly; one brother, Arthur Parrish, Moberly; one niece, Mrs. Gladys Belcher, Gilchrist, Colo., one nephew, Victor Oliver, Greeley, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Shirley and Norma Jean Meals.
Mrs. Meals was born east of Moberly on what is now the Claude Bledsoe farm, and spent her entire life in this community. She was married March 18, 1903, and had lived at the home where she died since her marriage. She was a member of the Enon Baptist Church, east of Moberly.
The body will remain at the residence until the funeral.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Enon Baptist Church by the Rev. O. P. McKenzie and the Rev. J. Clark Hensley, with burial in Oakland Cemetery.
