After Long Illness
Mrs Ora Lapp Wine, 72, died at 8:1- am, Thursday in the home of her son Floyd M Lapp, Sonora following a long illness. She was born 5 January, 1874 in Otsego a daughter of Joseph and Susan Simmons. In 1892 she was united in marriage to James H Lapp, who preceded her in death in 1916. Later she was married to Harvey C Wine of Brookfield, Missouri, where she made her home until his death in 1941. Since that time she had been making her home with her children. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. Surviving are six children by the first marriage, Floyd M Lapp, Guy Lapp, Coshocton, Howard and Herman Lapp, Trenton, Missouri, Mrs Mae Minick, Dresden and Mrs Clara Lumpkin, Kansas City, Missouri; four brothers, Luther Simmons, Newcomerstown, Algernon Simmons, Otsego, Samuel Simmons, West Lafayette and Rudy Simmons, Cambridge; one sister Mrs Eileene Luce, Wilmar California, nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Sunday in the Zion Lutheran Church. Burial will be made in the church cemetery. The body will be at the Shirer Funeral Home, Adamsville, until Saturday, when it will be removed to the home of the son Floyd Lapp.
