E.O. Lively was the husband to Rachel House. They were married, 19 Apr 1876 in Fannin Co., Texas. E. O. Lively died suddenly in Decatur, Texas, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Lora and R. L. Thompson, July 04, 1917. An Old-Time Citizen, E.O. Lively came to Wise county in 1875, Mr. Lively has been indentified with the business interests of the county both in the mercantile and land and loan interest for many years. There is hardly a man, woman or child who did not know him and liked him for his genial nature and unfailing courtesy, but the thing that laid deepest and most sacred to the heart of Mr. Lively, was his love for Masonry. He was a Royal Arch and Council Mason at the time of his death. Mr. Lively and his wife Rachel were blessed with six children.
