ALVORD - Roy Franklin of Alvord, a self-employed furniture upholster, died Friday at a Decatur hospital. He was 71.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hawkins Funeral Home in Bridgeport.
Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery in Decatur.
Mr. Franklin was born in Stanford and lived in Lubbock from 1935 to 1955. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II.
Survivors: Wife, Lorene Franklin of Alvord; stepson, Billy Ray McIntire of Alvord; two sisters, Jeanie McClelland of Abilene and Juanita Brunner of Yuba City, Calif.; and two brothers, Loranzo L. Franklin of Holdonville, Okla., and James L. Franklin of Lubbock.
