Elva Brown Beals, 95, English, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
A native of Crawford County, born July 11, 1903, she was the daughter of the late John and Laura Goodson Brown. She was a member of Marengo Christian Church. Senior Citizens in English. She was a volunteer for Lincoln Hills Development Corp. and helped found the first 4-H Club at Goodman Ridge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Winford Adam Beals.
Survivors include a son, Ivan R. Beals of English; a daughter, Gloria Belcher of Greensburg, Kas.; a brother, Eldo Brown of Phoenix; two grandchildren and three grate-grandchildren.
The funeral was Saturday at Dillman - Green Funeral Home in Marengo with burial in Mt. Sterling Cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Jenkins officiated. Phyllis Crandall was organist.
