Mrs. A.J. Franklin

Mrs. Dottie B. Franklin, 43, wife of A.J. Franklin, trainer and stable foreman at Waterford Park race track, died today at 4:30 a.m. at the park, where they resided, following an apparent heart attack.

She was born April 11, 1923, at Fayette, Mo., a daughter of Mrs. Nellie Stevens, who lives at Lebanon, Mo., and the late A.G. Adamson. She and her husband came here 18 months ago from Borger, Tex.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Roy Roby and Mrs. David Jones, both of Borger; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Christian of Hobart, Ind.; two bothers, Marion Ancell of Albuquerque, N.M., and Alvin Ancell of Milvane, Kan., and four grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester after 4 p.m. today.

The body will be removed to the Ed Brown Funeral Home in Borger. Burial will be Wednesday in Highland Park there.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Ed Brown's Funeral Home in Borger.

Mrs. Franklin had lived in Chester for the past two years.

Survivors include her husband, A.J. of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Roy Roby and Mrs. David Jones both of Borger; her mother, Mrs. Nellie Stevens of Lebanon, Mo.; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy Christian of Hobart, Ind.; two brothers, Dee Ancil and Albin Ancil of Kansas and four grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dottie Bett Franklin, 42, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Broadhurst, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Ed Brown and Sons Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Franklin had lived in Chester, W. Va. for the past two years.

Survivors include her husband, A.J., two daughters both of Borger, her mother, one sister, two brothers and four grandchildren.
