McPHERRON - Joy Dowis, went to Heaven November 3, 2009, due to complications from diabetes which she battled for 58 years. Born in Louisville, KY, December 26, 1934, to Marie G. and Lon M. Dunford. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Ann Ford. She is survived by husband of 54 years, Dale McPherron; sisters, Yvonne Parks and Carlonna Robinson; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Joy wanted to be remembered as a nice person. She was much more a tremendous blessing to all who knew and loved her. Service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2009, at First Christian Church of Broken Arrow. Burial at Floral Haven Cemetery. Floral Haven. 252-2518.
