ROCKTON - Eugene Allen, 39, of rural Woodbind, Iowa, died Sunday from injuries in a trucking accident in S. Pittsburgh, Tenn.
He was born Dec. 23, 1944 in Iowa, the son of Ralph and Margaret Porter Allen. He married Louise Thiering in July 1984 in Woodbind, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife; five stepsons, Wally, Michael and Samuel Thiering, all of Beloit, Warren Thiering of Souht Beloit, and Leland, at home; two stepdaughters, Lori Thiering of Beloit and Leannda Thiering, also at home; and one brother, Frank Allen of Beloit.
Graveside servives will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Rockton Cemetery, with the Rev. Dr. James Westpfahl officiating. Arrangements were handled by the Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Cranston Road Chapel.
