She was born Jan. 5, 1917, north of Waynoka to Charles and Mildred Swearingen Trammell and died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, in Woodward.
She graduated from high school in Shamrock.
She married Leslie A. Snyder Jr. June 30, 1933, in Alva. They moved to Belen, N.M., with the railroad. She graduated from Heights Beauty College in Albuquerque. She and her daughter owned and operated Janie's Beauty Salon in Belen. He died in 1971. She moved back to Waynoka and opened Reta's Fashion. She worked in many cafes in Waynoka as a cook and retired from Clapper Memorial Hospital as a cook. She owned and operated Reta's Cafe in Waynoka.
She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are one daughter, Jane Akin Bergen of Waynoka; twin sister, Retta Woolley of Waynoka; four grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Leslie, she was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, one grandson, four sisters and five brothers.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to American Society For The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), American Cancer Society or Grace Living Center activity fund.
