CUSSETA -- Mr. Wayne Buffington, 70, of Cusseta died Saturday, May 14, 2005 at his residence.
Funeral services are scheduled Tuesday, May 17 at 2 p.m. at Harvest Baptist Church with the Revs. Bobby Overton, Arlie Wade, Raymond Hammock and Stanley Nunnally officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Buffington is survived by his wife, Betty Buffington, six sons, Gene (Donna) Nunnally of Lanett, Stanley Nunnally of Notasulaga, ala., Donald (Debra) Nunnally of Lanett, Samuel (Betty Jo) Nunnally of Valley, Timothy Buffington of Homosassa, Fla., and Allen (Day) Buffington of Cusseta; two daughters, Linda (John) Avooske of Lanett and Debra (Timothy) Stafford; one brother, two sisters; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mr. Buffington was born April 28, 1935 in Gainesville, Ga. He was a member of Harvest Baptist Church. Mr. Buffington retired from WestPoint Stevens' Carter Mill with 27 years of service.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 16 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home.
