Orlin Dickerson, age 89, entered into eternal rest on October 23, 2017. He was born February 24, 1928 in Round Timbers, Texas to Harris Gay “Dud”Dickerson and Willie Pauline (Ates) Dickerson.
Orlin married Dafna Lee Breazeale on December 24, 1946 in Wichita Falls. He worked for Breazeale Oil Company for many years before he became a pumper for Walsh & Watts, until his retirement. Orlin enjoyed farming and spending time with his family.
Orlin setup play days in Holliday, Electra, Kamay, Valley View, and Iowa Park in the early 60’s. If you were willing to learn to ride he was ready to teach you. He was a lifetime member of the Wichita County Mounted Patrol and was a member of the Haws Road Community Church.
Orlin was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bill Dickerson and a son Terry Lee Dickerson.
He is survived by his daughter Donna Ann Brent of Holliday, grandsons Stephen and Misty Hooten of Holliday, Robby and Trina Hooten of Wichita Falls, granddaughter Melissa and Roque Lira of Ledbetter, sister Betty Tate of Iowa Park, and brother Pete and Cindy Kyle of Wichita Falls, 10 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held, Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Haws Road Community Church at 4:30 P.M.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to his church or the charity of your choice in his name.
