Jennie was the daughter of Tom and Irene Hickman. She married Elmer Lee Howerton. Their son, Thomas Lee Howerton, is buried in Garden of Memories. She shares a stone with her second husband, Jasper Alton Bell. She died in Palestine and is survived by two sons, Thomas Lee Howerton of Palestine and Edward Bell of Vellejo, CA; one daughter, Cathryn Clifton of Oklahoma City; one sister, Alma Steed of Caballo, NM; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her obituary appeared in Palestine Herald-Press, Thursday, 7 March 1985.
