AGE: 92 NORTH BRUNSWICK
William J. Kaye died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at VA New Jersey Health Care Systems-Lyons in Bernard Township. He was 92. Born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, he had lived in New Brunswick before moving to North Brunswick in 1945. He was a salesman at Joseph H. Reinfeld Liquor Wholesalers in Newark for 30 years before retiring in 1981. He had served in the United States 3rd Army, 7th Armored Division during World War II. He was a prisoner of war from October 1944 to June 1945 in Stalag IIA in Neubrandenberg, Germany. He was a member of the American Legion Joyce Kilmer Post #25 in Milltown, the American Ex-Prisoners of War, the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is predeceased by his first wife Frances Dietrich Kaye who died in 1996. Surviving are his wife Tatiana Vladimirova Kaye; two sons, Gordon Kucharczyk of North Brunswick and Barry Kaye and his wife Carol of Peoria, Arizona; a sister Frances Carney of California; two grandchildren, Kevin Kaye of Piscataway and Lisa Sparks of Parker, Colorado; two great grandchildren, William and Amanda Sparks; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Entombment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 7020 A.C. Skinner Parkway, Suite 100, Jacksonville, FL, 32256.
