Smith Wood a retired blacksmith of the Pennsylvania Railroad company service, died at 10.20 o'clock this morning at his home, 2110 Third Avenue. Death followed an illness of some time. He was born June 20, 1857, and was retired from the company service thirteen years ago. The deceased was a member of the Simpson Methodist church. His wife, Mrs. Virginia (Cornelius) Wood died about seven years ago. Surviving are a son, Orville E. Wood, three granddaughters, two sisters and four brothers: Thomas of Sacramento Calif. Frank of Washington DC, James, William P., Mrs. Walter Alstadt and Miss Anna Wood, all of this city. The funeral will be held at 2.30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the Simpson Methodisst church. Interment will follow in Fairview cemetery.
