Jacob Buehler was born in Barry county, Michigan, March 1st 1843, and he was married at Salem Michigan to Mary C. Raab.
Fourteen years ago the family came to Adams county, homesteading a choice piece of land two mile south of town. With careful industry, economy and perservance, they have amassed a large, valuable farm with a fine comfortable home.
Besides the sorrowing wife, eight children, three boys and five girls are left to mourn his loss. The boys are George, Oscar and Phillip, and the girls are Mrs. Herman Bursch, Harrington; Mrs. C. N. Cornelius, Kennewick; Mrs. Charles H. Meek, Newport, Idaho and Misses Maggie and Hulda. The family asked the NEWS to express their thanks to all the kind neighbors ad friends whose ready sympathy and assistance in their hour of deepest sorrow were highly appreciated.
