Michael Leighton Cruzan, born April 14, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, October 24, 2009. He will always be remembered as a loving and cherished brother, uncle, friend, confidant and prankster.Michael is survived by a large extended family as well as many lifelong friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Carl, mother Peggy, and father Eugene to whom he was a devoted caregiver for many years. He is survived by his brother Eugene "Skip" Cruzan Jr. and wife Molly of OKC, brother Josh and wife Jennifer of MWC and two chosen sisters Dara McGlamery and Trudy Williams.Michael is also survived by aunt Lana "Mary Jackson" Irwin of Berkley, California, aunt Sharon Perkins and husband Tom of Tulsa, uncle Jim Irwin and wife Donna of Tulsa, cousins Laura Bury and husband Ray of Tulsa, Sharon Davis of Midwest City, David Jackson and wife Cinnamon of Berkley, California, Kerry Irwin of Tulsa, David Hulsey of Drumright, nine nieces and nephews Savannah, Carly, Carra, T.J., Delaney, Casey, Bethany, Colt, and Estella Grace Cruzan of Midwest City.Michael was an accomplished hairstylist who worked at The Cutt Company for over 30 years. He was also a graduate of Midwest City High School Class of 1977. Michael always donated his time to various causes and to those around him and was loved by all. Michael had an endearing trait of always putting the needs of others first and went out of his way to make both friend and acquaintance feel special. Memorial Donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Choctaw in his honor. Michael will be available for visitation on Thursday and Friday at Barnes and Friedrich Funeral Home in Midwest City; his family will be present from 6-8 p.m. on Friday. Michael always loved to be around people so please feel free to visit at any time. Service time is 10:00 a.m., Saturday October 31, at Meadowood Baptist Church in Midwest City. Graveside Services will be held 3:00 p.m. in Oilton, Oklahoma.
