He served as a Corporal with the United States Army Air Corps during World II. During his tenure, he was a Radio Mechanic with the 24th Bomb Squadron, 6th Bomber Group.
Chuck was a longtime Homewood resident. He grew up in the Roseland neighborhood in Chicago.
He was a retired window trimmer and had designed window displays for shoe stores throughout the Chicagoland area. Chuck was also a longtime bartender for Surma's and the Roseland Moose Lodge.
He was the father of Kathy (Robert) Kolosh, Robert (Helen) Adametz, and Carol (George) DeWitt; former husband of Frances E. (nee Ryan).
