He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post #430.
Frank was the owner of Frank's Piano & Organ Service and a musician and performer at the Old Town Tap, Crete.
He is survived by his children; Mary Curley, Frank (Robin) Acosta, Jr., Cecilia (Jeffrey) Last and Jennette (Eric) Avery; his brother, Alfonso (Linda) Acosta; his sister, Rosemary (William) Monteton; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Arrangements entrusted to the Pruzin Brothers Funeral Service, 6360 Broadway, Merrillville, Indiana.
Service 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 16, 2007 Rev. Frank Acosta, Jr. officiating.
Burial: Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.
