Mary Eudora "Dora" Pincham was the fourth child born to William B. Pincham and Nancy Ann Baker. She was one of eight children: William M Pincham, James Pincham, Martha Marinda Pincham Morris, Samuel Baker Pincham, Dick Pincham, Michel Pincham, and Blanch Nancy Pincham Hoch.

She was preceded in death by James, Martha, and Michel. The siblings were born and raised in Dewitt County, Texas.

Mary married George Washington Pettit on July 22, 1879, in Dewitt County, Texas. By June 5, 1880, Dora and George were censused in Hays County. They resided on the Kockestall Ranch in Brewster County around 1888, followed by Gillespie County and the Morris Ranch in 1900, and the Buchanan Ranch in Llano County around 1905, Encinal about 1908 and Webb County in 1910, settling in Encinal by 1920.

Mary died in Laredo, Texas as a result of a "decomposing heart and nephritis" and was buried in the Encinal Cemetery.

Mary and George were parents to 9 children, all but one living to adulthood:

Laura Gertrude Pettit, wife of Sidney Posey of St. Clair, is buried at the Morris Ranch Cemetery in Gillespie County.

William Walter Pettit, married to Gisela Sporrer, is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Yoakum, Lavaca County.

Annie Maude Pettit, wife of Ben Frazier, is buried at the Glenn Rest Cemetery in Big Lake, Reagan County.

James Benjamin Pettit, married first to Ruth Virginia Coates and second to Maudie Loyd Japson, is buried at the Stiles Cemetery, Stiles, Reagan County.

John Ward Pettit, married to Nora May Nowlin, is buried at the Tamarisk Cemetery in Grandfalls, Ward County.

Carl Elmon Pettit, married to Eva Davis, and who's death occurred near Tucumcari, New Mexico.

Oscar George Pettit, married to Effie Ethel Colvin, is buried in Rankin Cemetery, Rankin, Upton County.

Elsie Eudora Blanche Marie Pettit, wife of Thomas Dailey Fuller, is buried in the Encinal Cemetery, LaSalle County.
