Son of the late Plutus Trinity and Freddie Wolfe Jennings, he was born May 8, 1922 in Cascilla, Mississippi. Ray proudly served his country during World War II in the United States Marines.
He married the former Dorothy Locke on May 19, 1944 in New London, Connecticut. Mrs. Jennings preceded him in death on October 12, 2004.
Ray is survived by his son, Raymond B. Jennings, Jr. and his wife, Charlene of Wappingers Falls; his daughter, Sheryle R. Jennings of Poughkeepsie; two grandchildren, Wendy Williams of Wappingers Falls and Raymond B. Jennings, III and his wife, Veronica of Ossining; five great-grandchildren, Arnold and Raylene Williams and Raymond B., IV "R.J.," Sarah and Thomas Jennings; his brother, Bobbie Jennings and his wife, Ruby of Benoit, MS and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife of sixty years, Dorothy L. Jennings, he was predeceased by two brothers, C.E. and Edwin Jennings.
