Minerva died Tuesday morning at Mercy Hospital.
Minerva was born near Collins, Iowa. After her father died, her mother married Robert Kitchen and the family moved to Rhodes, IA in 1881. She received her education in the Rhodes school. She was a member of the first class to graduate from Rhodes High School in 1890.
After her marriage the Scotts lived in various places in Iowa before moving to Nebraska to homestead in Cherry County. They had six children, four sons and two daughters.
After her husband died, Minerva returned to Rhodes and lived with her sister, Luella Watson and halfbrother, William Beard. After their deaths she lived with her children. At the time of her death she had 91 living descendants.
