Alton W Basham, 80, died Wednesday in the Libby Hospital. He was born in Republic County, Kas., Oct. 5, 1893. He moved to the Flathead Valley in 1902 and to Troy 1930.
He worked as a logger and rancher.
Survivors include two brothers Harry and Clyde both of Libby; four brothers, Richard, William, Ralph, Harold, all of Troy; two daughters, Mariam Ely of Auburn, Wash., and Lucille Vinion of Bonners Ferry, Ida.; two step-children John and Delorz Basham of Thompson Falls, Mt., and several grandchildren.
Services will be at Libby Cemetery, Saturday at 10 am, with Rev. Dan Brassman officiating. Vial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
