Wilfred "Bill" Francis Wieczorek, age 81, of Sheridan, passed away Oct. 21, 2009 in Carson City. He was born Jan. 17, 1928 in Ionia the son of Wilfred and Mabel (Baxter) Wieczorek. Bill married Martha Jane Speckin June 24, 1946. He served in the Army during WWII where he serviced generators. Bill worked for MR as an Auto Instructor for 36 years. He owned and operated a service station in Ionia. He also farmed, was a member of SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, raised birds, collected clocks and was a ham operator. He loved to hunt, fish, trap and play golf.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Martha, Gary(Jane) Wieczorek, of Hastings, Terri Hopkins of Saranac, David C. (Brenda) Wieczorek of Ionia, Debra L. Wieczorek of Ionia, Steve R. (Roberta) Wieczorek of Ionia, and Sandra M. (Ron) Ogden of Ionia; brothers, Douglas Wieczorek of Ionia and Thomas Wieczorek of Ionia; sisters, Betty Nemetz of Manistee, Patricia Roundtree of Ionia and Judy (Richard) Strickling of Fenwick; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 1 brother. Allen; 1 sister, Marilyn Ernst; sister-in-law, Kathleen Wieczorek and Madeline Speckin; brother-in-law, Pat Simmon and Clair Speckin; stepmother; Jean Wieczorek and 1 great-grandson Kodie Ogden.

Funeral services were held Saturday, 11 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Boufford officiating. Interment Evergreen Cemetery.
