She married William Cordra Maples, Jr.; a widower with (according to my records) 12 children... in which 5 were still under the age of 16. Sallie added to the population of their home by giving him two more daughters; Sarah A. Maples Cole and Amanda Anis Maples Rains.
When Sallie died, she was buried beside William in the Maples Cemetery in Bell County, Texas. However, their bodies (with many others) were exhumed in July 1942 (by government officials of the Ft. Hood Military Base) and re-interred; where they now rest in the Killeen Cemetery, in Bell County, Texas.
