George W. Rowden, died yesterday morning at 4:50 at the Riverview sanatorium. He had been a patient at the sanatorium for the last 2½ months.

Mr. Rowden was born Oct 24, 1879, in Miller County, Mo. He came with the family to Idaho in 1900, and they later moved to Asotin. After a few years in Asotin, the family moved to the Culdesac — Winchester area.

He married Leffa Snyder at Lapwai in 1907. They returned to the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley, where they have made their home.

Survivors besides his wife are two sons, Marion Rowden of Kendrick and George Rowden of Pomeroy; four daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Sinclaire of Baker, Ore., Mrs. Irene Michalke of Spokane, Mrs. Bessie Maio of Kendrick, and Mrs. Ethel Morefield of Lewiston; a brother, Elmer Rowden of Iberia, Mo.; a sister, Mrs. Maude Crumm of Lewiston; and 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Normal Hill Cemetery in Lewiston.
