Funeral services for Ann K. Brue, Hough Rd., Massena, will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church with Rev Michael J.Gaffney presiding. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Massena. Mrs. Brue died Friday afternoon, Oct. 30, surrounded by her family at Fletcher Allen Medical Center, Burlington, Vt.
Friends and family will be received Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m at the Phillips Memorial Home , Massena. .
Surviving Ann K. Brue is her husband of 54 years, Ted; three daughters, Karen Coia, Heather and husband Edward Harvey of Massena, and Lisa and Richard LaChance of Louisville; a son, Peter and wife Brenda of Chateaugay; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was born May 22, 1933, in Massena, the daughter of Francis and Lena (Ashley) Kearns. She was a graduate of Massena High School.
She married Ted J. Brue April 19,1952, at St. Mary's Church, Massena. Mrs Brue was very active at one time in the PTA and also in the Home Bureau. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed birdwatching. Her other hobbies included oil painting, figure skating and most of all being with her family.
The family has requested memorials in her name to the Massena Humane Society or the American Lung Association.
