Mrs. Holmes was born January 31, 1897 at Mauckport, Indiana, the daughter of William and Sarah Jacobs Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Earl Holmes, Sr.; daughters, Mabel McKinnon Grieme, Edinburg, Marcella Martin, Springfield, Winifred Thomas, Edinburg, Barbara Dennison, Springfield, sons, Orville, Kincaid, Albert Jr. San Jose, Everett, Phoenix Az; brother Charles Brown, Corydon, Indiana, sisters, Sally Pease, Corydon, Indiana, Gerthia Booker, Kincaid; 31 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 29 in the Davis Funeral Home at Edinburg. Burial will be in Edinburg Cemetery.
