Brownstown Banner, pub. 11 Oct 1933: John Fleetwood Dies At 89 - Last Of Four Brothers, All Of Whom Lived Past 80 - Sister Survives. John Fleetwood, aged 89, died at his home near Maumee, Salt Creek township, Thursday, October 5, 1933, of general infirmities.

He was the last of four brothers, all of whom lived to be past eighty - the other three being Wm. R., 90; Thos., 84 and L.D., 82. Their pictures were published in an Indianapolis paper a few years ago as four of the oldest living brothers in the state at that time.

Deceased was a son of Jesse and Cynthia Fleetwood and was born May 20, 1844, and lived practically his entire life in the vicinity where he died. In 1863 he was married to Elizabeth Combs who died in January 1928. To their union were born four boys and six girls, of whom three preceded him. The following children survive: William and Walter Fleetwood, Mrs. Euretta Lutes, Mrs. Leota Terrill, Mrs. Lina Harrell, Mrs. Lucy Norman and Mrs. Ida Arthur; also thirty-six grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Moses Henderson of Bedford.

Funeral services, which were largely attended, were conducted at the home by the Rev. Eli Fowler of Heltonville Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial in the Robertson cemetery.
