Suggested edit: Hi Glenda! The notes you have on his page for the 1930 census stumped me too but I think those are for his wife Evelyn side of the family ..he was never adopted...

Alden Oscar Smith died at Hilltop Manor Convalescent Hospital in Auburn on April 3 at the age of 82.
Private family services were held at the Chapel of the Hills in Auburn followed by cremation and inurnment in the family plot of the Old Auburn District Cemetery.
A native of Stent, Mr Smith was born July 8, 1903 and had been a resident of the Auburn area for the past 40 years. He owned and operated Exxon gas stations at Flood Road and Palm Avenue for many years.
Mr Smith is survived by his wife, Evelyn Smith of Auburn; daughter Shirley Barber of Auburn; two sisters; Aeola Bean of Auburn and Fern Logan of Lincoln; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
