----------------------
My great grandfather Thomas (I called him Pody), died when I was 3 years, 7 1/2 months old but I have a memory of him laying in a huge featherbed. He told me stories of Ireland & although I don't remember the words he used to relay the memory, I do remember the pictures in my head. He made Ireland sound like such a pretty place....so green, so fresh. And he told there no bugs or snakes there & that made a huge impression. To my knowledge, he ever set foot in Ireland, having been born in Kentucky, but he instilled within me a desire to visit Ireland before I die. I may not make it there & it matters not, but I know I'll carry that memory with me to my grave.
