JOHN FOYSTER STEWART

MURPHYSBORO - John Foyster Stewart, 77, of 445 S. 16th St., died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 1986, in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired coal miner, and a member of the United Mine Workers. He was also of the Protestant faith.
He was born July 7, 1909 in Hallidayboro, to William W. and Martha Bell Burbridge Stewart.
He married Dorothy McGehee on July 7, 1932 in Murphysboro. She survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Betty Allard, of Murphysboro; one son Gilbert P. Stewart, Murphysboro; one sister, Martha Nevels, Du Quoin; 10 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Two brothers preceded him in death.
Services will be at 12 p.m. Monday in Crenshaw Mortuary, with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the donor's preferred form of remembrance.
