Service for Johnny Claude Anderson, 50, of Chico was held Tuesday at Bible Baptist Church of Bridgeport, followed by burial at West Bridgeport Cemetery.
The Rev. Ernest Sigrest officiated. Pallbearers were Brent Anderson, Shorty Pierce, Terry Anderson, Clyde Bradish, Billy Hobbs and Joseph Hobbs. Honorary pallbearers were nephews.
Anderson was born May 25, 1939 in Wise County. He married Geneva O'Kelley Sept. 30, 1960 in Chico. He worked for Mitchell Energy Corp. for several years and had owned a Texaco station in Bridgeport. He died Oct. 29 in a local hospital.
He is survived by his wife; daughters, Susan Caywood of Mesa, Ariz., and Judy Anderson, of Chico; brothers, Clovis Anderson of Denton and Joseph Anderson of Chico; and sisters, Barbara Bradish, Lawana Mann and Pat Hobbs, all of Bridgeport.
