Robert B. Alexander Dies in Local Hospital
Robert B. Alexander died at the clinical hospital in Sonora shortly after 9 o'clock Monday evening. He entered the institution a week before to undergo treatment for a series of disorders arising from a dropsical condition.
Deceased was a native of Tuolumne County, having been born 61 years ago at Big Oak Flat. The greater part of his life was spent in the section south of the river where he was born and where he was extensively and favorably known. He was a member of a large family, and his parents were among the earlier pioneers of Big Oak Flat. He is survived by a number of brothers, one of whom is Chauncey Alexander, of Modesto, who was here to arrange for the funeral, which was held Wednesday afternoon at Big Oak Flat under the direction of Undertaker Burden, interment being in the Divide cemetery. A sister, Mrs. James Lumsden of Oakland was also here to attend the funeral.
