David Philip Slepian - A native of Birmingham, AL and a resident of Mobile, AL, died Wednesday, October 28, 2009. David was a member of the Spring Hill Avenue Temple. He was a graduate of Spring Hill College and Cumberland School of Law. He was a dedicated supporter of the University of South Alabama Jaguars and an avid golfer. David was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Philip Slepian and Nan Smith Cotter. Survivors include his wife, Karen A. Slepian; three daughters, Sarah Kathryn Sims, Samantha Kay Slepian and Nan Taylor Slepian; mother-in-law, Kay Griffin; brother-in-law, David Griffin; step-mother, Dianna Slepian Wells, cousins, Dr. Randy and Dr. Kaye Koffler, Susan Koffler, all of Mobile, Joanne and Mike Russell, Alyssa Russell, all of Bellesville, MD; aunt and uncle, Gerre and Dr. Irving Koffler of Mobile; other relatives and many friends. Graveside services and interment will be held on Friday, October 30, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. in the Spring Hill Avenue Temple Cemetery Owens Street.
