Emma Louise Cooper, 80, of Hope died Saturday morning 11 June 1994 at Columbus Regional Hosptial.

Funeral will be conducted by the Revs. Thomas Flegel and Archie Kent at 10 a.m. Monday at Norman Funeral Home in Hope where calling will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday with burial in the Moravian Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

She was a graduate of Huntington College and received her master's degree from Ball State University. She taught at Hartsville and Hope elementary schools.

She was a professor emeritus of Central Michigan University, Mount Pleasant, Michigan where she taught in the education department and laboratory from 1950 to 1978. She taught in the Armed Forces schools in Japan and Europe. She is a member of the Rugby U.B. Church and Rural Creek EXtention Club.

She was born in Bartholomew County on 6 June 1914, the daughter of Dale C. and Katherine Galbraith Cooper. Survivors include a nephew of Hillsdale, MI, a great nephew and great neice.

She was preceded in death by a brother, William D. Cooper.
