Adolph E. Menn, 102 of Brenham, TX passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2004 in Brenham Rest Home.

Adolph was born July 5, 1902 in the Greenvine community of Washington County to Ernst and Henrietta Keng Menn. He was baptized and confirmed January 27, 1918 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine by Rev. L. Haefer. He attended Latium School. On January 3, 1926 in Round Top, he was married to Nita Noak by Rev. A. H. Falkenberg They lived on his parent’s farm near Mill Creek, where their children were born. Later they purchased an adjoining farm and made their living in farming. Nita died June 14, 1989 and Adolph stayed alone on the farm until moving to Brenham Rest Home. Adolph remained a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine and worked on various organizational committees throughout his life.

His loving family includes: sons, Ernest Paul Menn and Franklin Menn and wife Evelyn all of Brenham; daughter, Virginia Fuchs of Burton; grandchildren, Bonnie and Ronnie Schulte, Judy and Jeff Witte, Paul William and Whitney Menn, Scott Menn; step-grandchildren, Sharon and Joe Martella, Gloria and Jim Arnold; great-grandchildren, Bridget and Brandon Schulte, Brittany and Kelly Witte; step-great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Martella, Jason, Lauren and Jeremy Arnold; numerous nieces and nephews.

Adolph was preceded in death by: parents, wife, 9 sisters, 3 brothers, son-in-law Lester Fuchs and daughter-in-law Frances Menn.

The family will receive friends Sunday, July 18, 2004 from 6:00 â€" 8:00 p.m. in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service will be Monday, July 19, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine with Rev. Pam Werrell officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Memorials may be given to Emmanuel Lutheran Church or your charity of choice.

Funeral services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel, 2300 Stringer St., Brenham, Texas.
