BECKY SUE BRIDGES ORANDER

Becky Sue Bridges Orander, of Dothan, died Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at her residence after a long battle with cancer. She was 64. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Park with Rev. David Willis officiating and Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 2346 W. Main Street, Suite 3, Dothan, AL 36301-1224. Ms. Orander was born March 10, 1945 in Burlington, NC to James Rolley and Fannie Volena Lee Boswell Bridges. She was a manager of several convenience stores in Alabama and Florida. Ms. Orander was a loving mother, devoted grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, great grandmother and was a friend to all. Her parents; husband, Carl Gene Orander, and a brother, Frank Leland Bridges, precede Ms. Orander in death. Survivors include her very special friend, Gary Lee Andrews, Dothan; three daughters, Volena Bernadette Welch, Christie Sue Welch Anderson, both of Dothan, Vanessa Faye Mass, NC; five grandchildren, Tessa Volena Tra-wick, Haley Nicole Anderson, Reanna Lee Glass, Alicia Sue Jones and her husband, Michael Brannon, Darrell Lee Brown and his wife, Kimberly Ann; four great grandchildren, Lan-don Lee Jones, Braydon Lee Jones, Keelie Desiree Joyner Emily Jane Brown; sister, Glenda Faye Brooks, Nokesville, VA; brother, Bobby Joe Bridges, Burlington, N.C.; numerous nieces and nephews. Southern Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, (334) 702-1712, is in charge of arrangements.
