Doris Cleo Campbell Howell, 78, of 3 Foxfield Way, widow of Malcolm (Mac) Leroy Howell, died October 27, 2009 at North Greenville Hospital.
A native of Greenville County, daughter of the late William Carl and Anna Bell Grace Pruitte Campbell, she was a retired employee of Southern Bell and a member of Washington Baptist Church. Mrs. Howell was a member of the U.D.C., American Legion Auxiliary and The Telephone Pioneers.
Surviving are two sons and daughter-in-laws, Tim and Donna Howell, and Jeff and Nelle Howell, all of Greer; three brothers, Willie Campbell of Boiling Springs, Farroll and Carroll Campbell, both of Inman; four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jeffrey, Jamie Smith (Marcus) and Braden; and one great-grandchild, Landon Smith.
Mrs. Howell was predeceased by one sister, Evelyn Ross; and two brothers, Bud Campbell and Tip Campbell.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Friday at Washington Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Drew Hines and Rev. Joe Price. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.
Visitation will be held 1:30 to 3 p.m. Friday at Washington Baptist Church.
The families are at their respective homes.
