Born near the village of Paradise in Winslow Township,Jefferson county;he lived and worked in Emeigh ,Cambria County,Pennsylvania. He was injured in January of 1937 ,by a fall of coal at one of the coal mines located in Emeigh, which was owned and operated by the Peale & Peacock Mining Company.
