ELSINORE - MARIE LARSON, 85 Elsinore, died July 22, 1983, in a Richfield convalescent center.

She was born 11 October 1897, Joseph to Joseph Faulkner and Adelia Cooley Parker. She was married to Ervin Henry Larson, March 28, 1917, later divorced.

She was a member of the LDS Church and served a stake mission; served on the South Sevier Stake Relief Society board and MIA. She was a member of the South Sevier Stake Singing Mothers and taught Sunday School many years. She was active in the Primary for 16 years and was president for six years. She was active in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Camp Belnap where she served as county president. She was active in the 4-H program.

Survivors: sons, daughter, Dean Parker, Mt. View, Calif.; Scott Parker, Whittier, Calif., Thomas Byrant, Newell K., James Ervin, Morgan R., Mrs. Janice Petty, all Salt Lake City; Mrs. Marjorie Winget, Richfield; Mrs. Don (Joan) Tuft, Brigham City; 39 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; sister, brothers, Florence Sylvester, Byron Parker, both Salt Lake City; Ariel Parker, Joseph.

Funeral services were Tuesday in the Elsinore Ward Chapel with Bishop Keith O. Horton, officiating. James E. Larson offered the family prayer and Elizabeth Staples played prelude and postlude music, Trent Larson gave the invocation, Donna Hansen gave a tribute from the DUP and Joan Tuft gave a life sketch and tribute. Speaker was James K. Hill.

Music included vocal duet by Gwendolyn Jacobsen and Zola Jensen; vocal solo, Marvin Magleby and selection by the Elsinore Ward choir. Dr. Burdett Johnson offered the benediction.

Burial was in the Elsinore Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Dr. Don Tuft offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Dean P. Larson, Scott P. Larson, Thomas B. Larson, Newell K. Larson, James Larson, and Morgan R. Larson.
